Mariachi los Diablitos was founded in 1991 with the help from their first director David Membrila, and the principal of Sunnyside high school Raul Nido.Back in 1994 Mr Refugio "Cuco" Del Cid took over Los Diablitos and made it what it is today.He performed with the acclaimed Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano before taking over the Sunnyside Mariachi. Los Diablitos have performed for people such as Hilary Clinton, Lalo Guerrero, Linda Rondstadt and Daisy Sanchez. They have traveled to Spain, Washington D.C, California, and Mexico.
Every year Los Diablitos and Sunnyside High School present the annual Mariachi and Ballet Folklorico festival "Noche De Las Estrellas." Educational groups from all over Arizona take part of the amazing festivities. Groups such as Mariachi Aztlan dePueblo, Desertview mariachi, Rayos del sol, Mariachi Monarca, University of Arizona and many more.Los Diablitos also perform for festivities such as quinceaneras,Weddings, Funerals, private parties and local community events. |
